Our Farm

ABOUT OUR FARM

We love Hawaii and we love Kona coffee. What could make more sense than for us to have our own coffee farm.

Chet & Denise CiccarelliKOPE KABANA is both the residence of Chet and Denise Ciccarelli and our coffee farm on the Kona side of the Big Island of Hawaii. We have approximately 1300 trees. On a clear day, we can see the islands of Maui, Molokai, Kaho‘olawe, and Lanai. It is located on the slope of the inactive (hopefully) volcano, Hualalai. It is this volcanic soil which gives Kona Coffee it's unique taste. There are eleven micro climates on the Big Island from the snowy peak of Mauna Kea (white mountain) to the rainforests, to the almost desert like areas of North Kona and South Kohala.

We are fortunate to be in what we think is the perfect combination of sun and rain. In addition, we are less than a half mile from a honey bee farm. Arabica coffee trees are self pollinating to some extent, but having honey bees help with the pollination results in larger cherries and a greater harvest.

We vacationed on the Big Island for many years and were married on the beach here. When we both retired from the software industry, we moved here full time.We love the lifstyle and no, we don't get island fever. In fact when we travel, we can't wait to get back.

As a Vietnam veteran, I know what sacrifices and hardships our troops endure to keep us safe. We appreciate their service and as a means of showing our appreciation, we donate some of our coffee to them.
